At Prime Foods, we carefully hand select our beef with authentic grade, marbling and yield. We also welcome inquiries for special branded beef such as Kobe beef, Omi beef. We value our customers' individual, unique requests foremost.
Grading
Wagyu grading is determined by marbling, meat color, firmness, texture, fat color and yield. It strictly controlled by the criteria to keep its quality authentic.
Certificate of Authenticity
If Wagyu calves pass they receive a “Wagyu Certificate”. The certificate shows the calf’s parents, grandparents and great grand parents so that blood line can be traced. Newborns are issued ten digit individual identification numbers to track date of birth, sex, breed, history of the mother, relocation history, fattening information, slaughterhouse information and date of slaughter. The DNA is tested throughout all stages from birth to slaughter to distribution to confirm the information.
